Water damage drywall repair after washers water hose bursts in Merritt Island
On this Merritt Island water damage drywall repair project I was contacted by the homeowner after their washer water line had leaked in the laundry room. Damaging one wall directly behind the washer and dryer. Since this leak happened in the middle of the night a 24 hour water restoration emergency service company had already come out to remove all of the water damage drywall, insulation and flooring. They also dried out all of the wood framing and tile flooring. Luckily this water was a cleaned up before any mold could start to grow. The damage at this home could've been so much worse. How to spray popcorn ceiling texture on a drywall ceiling repair
On this popcorn ceiling repair project, I'll demonstrate how to spray and blend popcorn ceiling texture on an actual ceiling repair that had water damage from a roof leak in Merritt Island, Florida. Barry the cable guy stepped thru my popcorn ceiling!
One of my customers recently got more than cable tv and wireless internet, when Barry the cable guy went to run a couple new cables. Barry accidently stepped on the drywall ceiling from the backside while maneuvering across the trusses up in the attic over the living room hall. Mr. Jones said he heard a very loud Crunch and Thud. When he went to see what had happened, Barry's leg was hanging out of the popcorn ceiling! Drywall and insulation was all over the floor. Thankfully Barry was not injured. Cocoa Beach Popcorn Ceiling is Falling Down!
The sprayed on popcorn texture (also known as acoustical ceiling texture) was falling off of this Cocoa Beach condo's ceiling. Of course right smack in the middle of the ceiling in the main livingroom. That just so happen to have one of the best views of the Banana River that Cocoa Beach has to offer. Right when I looked at this ceiling I knew that a tape joint had been previously repaired at one of the drywall seams. My guess would be that when this popcorn ceiling had been repaired before. The contractors didn't prime the dusty surface after removing the old tape joint and scraping back the popcorn texture at the repair to be able to re secure and re mud the new drywall taping and mudding areas.. Water had got behind that decorative stucco piece and rusted out the wire lathe. Which ultimately caused the stucco to fail in that area. Soundproofing an existing wall to help reduce noise from home theater

Cocoa, FL Exterior House Painting Project
On this Cocoa, Florida exterior repaint in Port Saint John we repaired several staircase stucco cracks, damaged stucco from the hurricane shutters and a buckled stucco area at the front entrance of this Cocoa, Fl home. Water had gotten behind the decorative stucco piece and rusted out the wire lathe at the front entrance of this South facing 10 year old home.
